Kristin is our Customer Service Representative at our Alameda Coast Guard BSC store. Over the past several years, she has come out of her shell as a diligent employee and stepped up to take ownership of her role, her store and her team. Kristin first found Beyond Vision through an organization in her area called Sensory Access. While working with Sensory Access, they were able to arrange an internship that brought Kristin to Beyond Vision’s AbilityOne BSC store.
Kristin is legally blind due to Aniridia, but that hasn’t stopped her from enjoying her hobbies of square dancing, abstract drawing and painting.
Not only has Kristin excelled in her role at work, but outside in her community she has built her leadership skills as a member of the Toastmasters club which is an organization with a mission “…to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.” In addition to Toastmaster’s, Kristin also loves volunteering at the Santa Clara Valley Blind Center.
