What is Assembly and Packaging?

Assembly and packaging are two important processes in the manufacturing and distribution of products.

Assembly involves putting together different components or parts of a product to create a finished product. The assembly process can involve manual labor, the use of machines or automated systems, or a combination of both. The goal of assembly is to create a product that meets the desired specifications and quality standards.

Packaging, on the other hand, involves enclosing the finished product in a container or wrapping material that protects it from damage during transport and storage. Packaging can be done manually or using automated equipment, and it can involve multiple stages such as primary packaging, secondary packaging, and tertiary packaging.

The primary packaging is the first layer of packaging that comes into contact with the product, such as a bottle, bag, or box. The secondary packaging is used to group multiple units of primary packaging, such as a carton, shrink-wrap, or pallet. The tertiary packaging is the outermost layer that provides additional protection and stability during transport, such as a shipping container or crate.

ISO 9001 Certified Since 2002:

Beyond Vision uses ISO 9001 in assembling and packaging in the following ways:

Quality Management System: Beyond Vision has established a quality management system (QMS) based on ISO 9001 that covers all aspects of our business operations. The QMS includes documented procedures, policies, and work instructions that define how products are assembled and packaged to meet customer requirements.

Process Control: Beyond Vision has implemented a process control system that ensures that each step of the assembly and packaging process is performed correctly and consistently. The process control system includes process flow diagrams, process instructions, and quality checks at each stage of the process.

Supplier Management: Beyond Vision selects and manages suppliers according to ISO 9001 requirements. This ensures that the materials and components used in the assembly and packaging process are of high quality and meet the necessary specifications.

Continuous Improvement: Beyond Vision uses the continuous improvement approach to ensure that our assembly and packaging processes are always improving. This includes regular monitoring of key performance indicators, analyzing customer feedback, and implementing corrective and preventive actions when necessary.

How We Use Poka Yoke:

Beyond Vision is a leading provider of assembly and packaging services, and one of the techniques that we use to ensure quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes is Poka Yoke.

Poka Yoke is a Japanese term that means “mistake-proofing” or “error-proofing,” and it refers to a set of techniques that aim to prevent mistakes or errors from occurring during the manufacturing process. The goal of Poka Yoke is to make it impossible for mistakes to happen, rather than relying on inspections or rework to catch and correct errors.

At Beyond Vision, we use Poka Yoke in several ways to ensure that our assembly and packaging processes are error-free. From the initial planning stages to the work station design, our engineers help develop the work process for every project. This level of care makes our process efficient, virtually error free and keeps customer orders on time. Check out one of our many poka yoke processes.
