Stay Vigilant

Beyond Vision Team,

Up to this point, you all have done a wonderful job in minimizing the risk of exposure to COVID-19 while at work.   But this is not a time to become complacent.   We are seeing an increase in cases in many states we operate.  Plus, as we all know, the most heavily guarded and protected person on the planet has contracted the virus.   These are good reminders that we need to approach this pandemic with the same vigilance today as we did in April.

Not much has changed in terms of best practices:

  • Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When soap and running water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Properly wear your mask.  Again, masks must be worn at all times in our manufacturing areas and when you are in common areas of your facility.  Or if you cannot maintain a six foot distance with colleagues.  Proper waring of the mask includes making sure it covers your nose and mouth.
  • Follow appropriate respiratory etiquette, which includes covering for coughs and sneezes utilizing your arm instead of your hands. Even if you are properly waring a mask.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Always try to maintain six foot separation from other people, whether they are sick or not.

Again, if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, you should not come into work and you should be tested for COVID-19.  Again, the symptoms include:

  • Coughing;
  • Fever;
  • Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing; and
  • Early symptoms such as chills, body aches, sore throat, headache, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, and runny nose.

If questions or concerns come up, please reach out to Rebecca or me.

Thanks and stay healthy,

Rob
