Beyond Vision

Machining Since 1958

Our Machine Shop was established in 1958 to train people with vision loss machining skills to work on-site for other manufacturers.

Currently one of only two machine shops in the United States that employs people who are blind. The other is Seattle Lighthouse, opened in 1952 to do work for Boeing. Read an article from 1958 about the shop opening HERE.

Today, our Machine Shop continues to innovate how people with vision loss can impact manufacturing. From 3D Printing, investing in the latest technology for engineering, training, and focusing on accessibility,  Beyond Vision has no limits for machining capabilities.
