Beyond Vision is a “Runway…a place to land and a place to take off in your career. We provide training and resources to assist our employees to achieve their career aspirations both internally at Beyond Vision as well as outside at other companies. This year, we had a few employees ‘take off’ at Beyond Vision.
Sarah Heesen – Business Development AmbassadorSarah began her career at Beyond Vision several years ago as a Customer Care Representative. Very quickly during her time in the Customer Care Center, she demonstrated a passion for personal and professional development. She is a prime example of not allowing her vision loss to hold her back from advancing in her career.
A few years back she took her first step forward and was promoted to Talent Acquisition Coordinator. In this role, she was responsible for recruiting some of the best and brightest talent to our organization.
Sarah is not done on her journey through the runway, she is stepping up to her next challenge and has recently been promoted to Business Development Ambassador for our Customer Care Center and Web Accessibility Services. In her new role she will be able to utilize her talents to bring in new customers to Beyond Vision and ultimately create additional jobs for people who are blind.
Her efforts and talent are not just being recognized internally at Beyond Vision. Last year, Sarah was the recipient of the “Milton J. Samuelson Career Achievement Award,” given by the National Industries for the Blind.
Scott also began his journey on the Beyond Vision runway a few years back as a Customer Care Representative. In his previous work experiences, he was heavily involved in assistive technology sales of products specifically created for blind and low vision users. He made a big impression and demonstrated he possesses the skills and drive to take his talents to the next level. Earlier this year, Scott was promoted to Government Sales Specialist.

Scott, together with his trusted guide dog, Lumi, will be tasked with acquiring additional sales contracts from our Government customers.
