Beyond Vision

Transition to the VisABILITY Center

Milwaukee Team,

By the end of next week, most of us will begin our transition to the VisABILITY Center.  Below is some information on that plan, as it stands today.

Customer Care Center and Office Team Members

  • Next Friday, August 26th at 12 p.m., IT will begin transferring IT infrastructure from the two State St. buildings to the VisABILITY Center.  Beginning at 12 p.m., we will not have IT in the two buildings.
  • Next week, mid-week we will have moving carts available for team members to place items and files to be moved to the VisABILITY Center.  Friday afternoon, you can begin to disassemble your IT equipment on your desk and place them on the carts.  Assistance will be available to anyone that needs it.
  • Office Team members will report to the VisABILITY Center beginning Monday, August 29th.  There will be more details about this coming soon.
  • We are repurposing the existing furniture in the Customer Care Center.  This will delay in-person CCC operations until Thursday, September 8th  All CCC staff that can work remote will work remote until September 8th.

Remaining Manufacturing Team

  • We are still determining when the rest of A&P will be moving to the VisABILITY Center.  As soon as we have dates, we will share them.
  • Moving the Machine Shop is more complicated.  This will probably be the last team to move.  We are still figuring out the logistics.
  • Some support staff will remain with the manufacturing team.
  • IT connectivity will be available in the 5316 building on Monday, August 29th.

More information will be coming soon.  Please be patient.  There are countless variables involved with this move.  And everyone is working diligently to make this transition as smooth as possible.  Most things will go according to plan.  No doubt.  And some things will not.  No doubt.  It would be extra helpful if we all celebrate the things that go well.  And that we all work together as a team to work through the things that did not go according to plan.

We have all been anticipating this moment for a long time.  It is both thrilling and a little scary!  But we will all get transitioned one way or another.  And its going to be awesome!

Mission First,

Rob
