Milwaukee Building Closing Early 10-7-2020

Milwaukee Team,

As many of you know, today the Milwaukee County District Attorney is planning to announce his decision regarding a police officer involved shooting that occurred in February.   Local leaders are anticipating the possibility of civil unrest in Wauwatosa and possibly the surrounding communities.   After some discussion this morning, we have decided to close the Milwaukee buildings today at 1:30 p.m.  We ask that you go home at that time or before.  As always, the health and safety of all our team members is of the highest priority.   We hope this turns out to be much-a-do about nothing.  But we would rather be safe than sorry.

If you are able to work from home, please do so.  If you are an hourly paid team member, and cannot work from home, you have the following options:

  1. Make up work time tomorrow or Friday.
  2. Use PTO.
  3. Take time unpaid.

Please work with your supervisor to determine your preferred option.

Right now, our plan is to be open for business as usual tomorrow.  But, if there is civil unrest, and our opening tomorrow is in question, we will make an announcement via e-mail, text, and I will indicate on a message on my voicemail greeting before 5:00 a.m.  You can access my voicemail greeting by calling the main number (414-778-5800) and accessing my voicemail at extension 5827.
